Nafziger, Donna Marie Schmucker, 87, of Archbold, Fulton Co., OH died March 24, 2018 at Defiance, Defiance Co., OH. She was born January 6, 1931 at Archbold to George and Sylvia (Short) Schmucker. She was married to Maurice Nafziger, who is deceased.
Surviving are children, Rodney (Daria) Nafziger; Victoria Nafziger (Frank Zimmer); Dawn (Gary) Huebner; and Dwight (Karen) Nafziger; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris (LaMar) Short; and a brother, James (Ethel) Schmucker.
A granddaughter, Jaqueline Nafziger preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held March 31, 2018 at Lockport Mennonite Church, Stryker, Williams Co., OH with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Nafziger, Lodema M. Wyse, 96, of Pettisville, Fulton Co., OH died September 22, 2018 at Wauseon, Fulton, Ohio from natural causes. She was born March 21, 1922 at Archbold, Fulton Co., Ohio to William M. and Dinah J. (Roth) Wyse. On December 18, 1941 she was married to Ivan D. Nafziger, who died February 13, 2005.
Surviving are children, Dianne (LaMar) Yoder; Peggy (Roger) Rupp; Jeanne (David) Schrock; Richard (Brenda) Nafziger; Kathleen (William) Short; and Desi Nafziger; 16 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and five step-great-great-grandchildren.
Edgar Nafziger (son); Joanne Nafziger (daughter-in-law); one granddaughter; one granddaughter-in-law; one great-granddaughter; one step-great-grandson; and siblings, Wilbur M. Wyse, Stella Crossgrove, Irene Britsch, Lucille Crossgrove, and Marjorie Nafziger preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held September 27, 2018 at Tedrow Mennonite Church, Wauseon, OH with burial in Pettisville Cemetery, Pettisville, OH.
Nafziger, Maribell Brown

Maribell (Brown) Nafziger, 89, of Archbold, Ohio, passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2018 at Fairlawn Haven, Archbold, following a brief illness.
She was born December 29, 1928 near Wakarusa, IN, the daughter of Joseph and Nellie (Martin) Brown. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age while attending the Holdeman Mennonite Church, Wakarusa. She met Carl Nafziger, from rural Pettisville through church youth meetings, and they were married on June 1, 1958. She then became an active member of the Central Mennonite Church, Archbold. Her husband preceded her in death in June, 2010.
Mother helped raise her daughters in a loving and nurturing environment. Throughout her life, she modeled a Christ-like example of thinking of others first. She helped her husband with farming, raising chickens and selling eggs. She enjoyed babysitting for several area young children whom she loved and thought of as her "grandchildren," keeping in touch with them as they grew into adulthood and became parents. Mother instilled in us a love of music, horses, nature, and reading. Her hobbies included quilting, embroidery, sewing, reading, gardening, bird watching, as well "armchair coaching" college basketball on TV. Mother never knew a stranger, frequently sharing an encouraging word or smile for those she met. International visitors were always welcome in her home, including guests from Costa Rica, India, Bolivia, and Kenya who became cherished friends. She was so pleased when Todd bought their farm, frequently requesting to drive by "to see how Todd's crops are doing."
She was preceeded in death by her husband; parents; parents-in law, Elmer and Lillie (Yoder) Nafziger; 2 sisters-in-law, Katherine Short and Nevada Nafziger, and 6 brothers-in-law Dale Nafziger, Everett Nafziger, Gerald Nafziger, Hubert Short, Donald Stichter and David Coldren.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Linda, Archbold, and Elaine (Ed) Swartzbaugh, Archbold. Also surviving are 3 sisters: Evelyn Stichter, Goshen; Charlene Brown, Wakarusa; Marlene Coldren, Ephrata, Pennsylvania; sisters-in-law, Jean Nafziger, Goshen and Ruth Nafziger, Archbold, as well as many cousins, neices and nephews and their families whom she prayed for frequently.
Our family would like to thank Dr. Keith Lehman and his staff for their compassionate care of Mother over the years, as well as the staff of FCHC and Fairlawn Haven who cared for mother in her final earthly days. On December 29th, she would have celebrated her 90th birthday, but she received the best Christmas and birthday present of all, being reunited with her husband, family, and friends for eternity at the feet of her loving Savior.
Viewing is planned for Friday, Dec. 28 at Central Mennonite Church, Archbold, from 4-8 p.m. A private family viewing will be held at Central on Saturday, Dec. 29 from 9-10 a.m. Internment will be at the Pettisville Cemetery at 10 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at Central at 11:00 a.m.
The family requests that memorials be made to either Mennonite Central Committee/Disaster Relief or to World Gospel Mission, Marion, IN, to support Rick and Lori Lampen's medical and spiritual ministry to the street children in the city of Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
Nelson, Paul Joseph
April 23, 1951 - September 13, 2018
Paul Joseph Nelson died at Souderton (PA) Mennonite Home on September 13, 2018. He is survived by his children - Sarah Ruth, Peter Levi (Emily Bender), and Benjamin Henry Paul Nelson - and by an older brother, Benjamin H. (Susan Gardner) Nelson, and a younger sister, Barbara (James) Nelson Gingerich. His wife of more than forty years, Dawn Ruth Nelson, died in August 2017.
Paul was born in Iowa City on April 23, 1951. At the time, his parents - Boyd H. and Welma B. (Graber) Nelson - were living in Wayland, Iowa. In 1952 the family moved to Elkhart, Indiana. Paul was baptized into Prairie Street Mennonite Church in 1964. He graduated from Bethany Christian High School (Goshen, IN) in 1969, and from Goshen College in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. In the mid-1970s he was part of Assembly Mennonite Church (Goshen), took classes at Associated (now Anabaptist) Mennonite Biblical Seminary (Elkhart), and for a time served as director of the Elkhart County Home.
Paul and Dawn were the first of a group of US Mennonites who went to Dublin, Ireland in the fall of 1979. There they were part of the Mennonite mission and peace witness team to support Irish Mennonite, Mike Garde, in an assignment jointly sponsored by Mennonite Board of Missions and Mennonite Central Committee.
As a child and youth, Paul was intellectually curious, adept at math and science, and took pleasure in using his ingenuity to design and build things such as a unicycle, a skateboard, a banjo. In Dublin, he earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Trinity College, and then established Phoenix Cycles, which he operated for several years in an effort to be self-supporting and to provide jobs at a time when many people in Ireland were unemployed.
With their three children, Paul and Dawn returned to the States in 1991, settling in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, near Dawn's family home. Paul took a position as information technology manager with Laminators, Incorporated (Hatfield), where he worked for 20 years, making the twelve-mile round-trip ride to work on his bicycle in all kinds of weather.
Paul and Dawn were part of Salford Mennonite Church (Harleysville); then Methacton Mennonite Church (Eagleville), where Dawn served as pastor for eleven years, until 2014; and Plains Mennonite Church (Hatfield). Paul and Dawn also participated in Bridgefolk, a movement of sacramentally minded Mennonites and peace-minded Roman Catholics who come together to celebrate each other's traditions and explore each other's practices.
Late in 2014 he was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy, a form of frontotemporal dementia. As long as he was able to do so, he volunteered several mornings a week at the Mennonite Central Committee Material Resource Center in Harleysville.
Paul shared Dawn's interest in Christian formation, and he enjoyed classes and retreats, and the conversation and companionship of Barry's Boys, a men's group that provided support as Paul's health declined and he moved from the cottage he had shared with Dawn at Souderton Mennonite Home, into Park View and then into nursing care. There he also continued to take pleasure in frequent visits from his children, listening to audio books, and following British Premier League soccer and the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.
Throughout his life, Paul's deep commitments, fundamental decency, and dry wit endeared him to his family and friends. The family extends special thanks to his devoted caregivers at the Souderton Mennonite Home, to Barry's Boys, and to volunteers from the Plains congregation whose support has so enhanced Paul's quality of life in these last years.
In keeping with his generosity of spirit, Paul has donated his brain to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in hopes that study of his brain can contribute to understanding and effective treatment of the brain disorder that took his life.
Visitation is from 2:00-2:45pm at Plains Mennonite Church, 50 W Orvilla Rd, Hatfield PA, on Sunday, September 23rd. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m, with time to greet family and share a meal afterwards.

Nelson, Paul Joseph, 67, of Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA died September 13, 2018 at the same place from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He was born April 23, 1951 at Iowa City, Iowa to Boyd H. and Welma B. (Graber) Nelson. On January 4, 1976 at Harleysville, Montgomery Co., PA he was married to Dawn Ruth, who was born April 13, 1952 and died August 21, 2017.

Neuenschwander, Bonnie M. Kanagy

Bonnie M. Neuenschwander, 76, of Kidron, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Aultman-Orrville Hospital.
She was born in Bellefontaine on August 17, 1942 to the late Wilfred and Frances (Yoder) Kanagy and married Tilman Neuenschwander on April 10, 1993. He survives.
She retired as the secretary from the Mt. Eaton Care Center and was a member of Sonnenberg Mennonite Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by step-children, Jeanette (Dan) King of Dover, Marieda (Gordon) Geiser, Joyce (Ed) Taylor and Donna (Jim) Johnston, all of Kidron, Jolene (TJ) Tennefoss of Greenwood, DE, and Kurtis (Angie) Neuenschwander of Montgomery, TX; step-daughter-in-law, Dar (Ray) Yoder of Bellville, PA; 25 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; a sister, Patty (LaMar) Holsopple of Sarasota, FL; a brother, Willie (Char) Kanagy of Goshen, IN; and a brother-in-law, Lowell (Darlene) Shank of Louisville, KY.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by step-sons, Todd and Loren Neuenschwander; a great grandson, Logan Geiser; and a sister, Sharyn Shank.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Sonnenberg Mennonite Church with Pastor Mel Hathaway officiating. Burial will take place prior to services in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 1-4:00 PM at the Spidell Funeral Home in Mt. Eaton.

Neuenschwander, Bonnie M. Kanagy, 76, of Kidron, Wayne Co., OH died at Orrville, Wayne Co., OH. She was born August 17, 1942 at Bellefontaine, Logan Co., OH to Wilfred and Frances (Yoder) Kanagy. On April 10, 1883 at Kidron she was married to Tilman Neuenschwander, who was born December, 24, 1928 and survives.
Surviving are step-children, Jeanette Neuenschwander King, Marieda Neuenschwander Geiser, Joyce Neuenschwander Taylor, Donna Neuenschwander Johnston, and Jolene Neuenschwander Tennefoss; 25 step-grandchildren, 36 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Patty Kanagy Holsopple, and a brother, Willie Kanagy.
Two step-children, Loren Neuenschwander, and Todd Neuenschwander, a step-great-grandson, Logan Geiser; and a sister, Sharyn Kanagy Shank preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held September 2, 2018 at Sonnenberg Mennonite Church, Kidron, OH with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Newcomer, Grant F.

LaGRANGE - Grant F. Newcomer, 45, of LaGrange, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, in an accident while working on his car at home
He was born on Sept. 22, 1972, to Gene and Gwendolyn (Miller) Newcomer of Shipshewana.
On July 23, 1994, he married Michele Hochstetler at Shore Church in Shipshewana.
Grant was working for KZ-RVs Inc. in Shipshewana as a project manager. He was a lifelong member of Shore Church.
Surviving with his wife and parents are a daughter, Victoria Jean Newcomer of Topeka; a son, Gage F. Newcomer of LaGrange; and a sister, Gretchen and LaVon Miller of Shipshewana.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Shore Church, 7235 W. C.R. 100N, Shipshewana. A viewing will be held at the church from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 to 11 a.m. Friday prior to the service.

Newswanger, Melvin R., 76, of 1785 Spring Hollow Road, East Earl, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, June 16, 2018.
Born in East Earl, he was the son of the late Harvey S. and Emma K. Ringler Newswanger.
Melvin retired from Rissler Brothers Saw Mill where he had worked for over 25 years. He was a member of the Spring Grove Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving are three brothers, Emerson R. Newswanger of New Holland, Wilmer R. Newswanger and Harvey R. Newswanger both of East Earl; and two sisters, Verna R. Kautz of Reinholds and Barbara R. wife of Ervin Shirk of Hawkins, WI. He was preceded in death by a brother, Irvin R. Newswanger.

Ava Grace and Ella Kate Nissley, infant twin daughters of Darin and Geneva (Yoder) Nissley, of Shipshewana, died at Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis. Ava Grace was stillborn on September 12 and Ella Kate, two months 13 days old, died at 6:46
pm on Sunday, November 25. Surviving in addition to their parents of Shipshewana are two sisters, Allison Jade and Lindsay Nichole Nissley both at home; grandparents, Freeman and Anna Nissley of Millersburg, Melvin and LeAnna Yoder
of Shipshewana; great-grandparents, Dan N.D. and Ella Yoder of Holmes County, OH. They were preceded in death by great-grandparents, Crist and Fannie Nissley, Harley and Mary Bontrager, and Sam and Sadie Wingard. Visitation will be all day on
Tuesday, November 27 at the Darin Stutzman residence, 1800 N. 850 West, Shipshewana. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, November 28 also at the residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Homer Bontrager and the home ministers of the Old Order Amish Church. Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana. Nissley, Hiram W., 87, formerly of Landisville Road, Manheim passed away peacefully at the Mennonite Home, Lancaster on Friday, December 21, 2018. Born in East Hempfield Township, he was the son of the late Albert R. and Stella Witmer Nissley. He was the loving husband of Mary C. Bauman Nissley and they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in September. Hiram worked at Chemgro, East Petersburg and for several Feed Mills in Lancaster County. In his earlier years, he operated his farm in East Hempfield Township. Hiram was a member of Kauffman Mennonite Church, Manheim where he served as a Deacon for many years. He also served as Treasurer and on the board for the Manheim Christian Day School. His interests included flower and vegetable gardening and he loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five daughters, Diane L. Zaiac (Paul) of Marietta, Joyce E. Jones (William) of Lancaster, Barbara J. Carmer (Kasey) of Penns Grove, NJ, Eileen K. and Cheryl A. Nissley both of Landisville and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, and two sisters, Irene Nissley and D. Virginia Nissley.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at Kauffman Mennonite Church, 1355 Lancaster Road, Manheim on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
Nissley, Rachel N. Snavely, age 90, passed away at her home in Holtwood on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was the wife of the late Paul V. Nissley who died December 12, 2015. Born in Manheim, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Lizzie Newcomer Snavely.
A homemaker and lifetime farmer's wife, she was a member of Willow Street Mennonite Church.
Rachel is survived by a daughter, Joan E. wife of Gary A. Dean of Strasburg; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Larry L. Nissley, Donald R. Nissley and a brother, Raymond Snavely.
A memorial service will be held at Willow Street Mennonite Church, 399 East Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 6:30PM. An informal visitation will follow the service. Nolt, Alta S. Weaver, 71, of State Route 103 North, Lewistown, went to be with the Lord at 9:10 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at her home.
Born Feb. 23, 1947 in East Earl, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Z. and Lydia (Shirk) Weaver. Her husband, Earl S. Nolt, whom she married Oct. 3, 1968, survives.
Also surviving are: five children, Ivan W. Nolt and wife Jolyn of Lititz, David W. Nolt and wife Loretta of McVeytown, Arlene W. Groff and husband Charles of McVeytown, Lewis W. Nolt and wife Rosella of Lewistown, Wilbert W. Nolt and wife Janice of McVeytown; a brother, David Weaver and wife Anna of New Holland; a sister, Eva Weaver of New Holland; and 30 grandchildren.
Alta was a homemaker, and enjoyed serving others.
She was a member of the Living Springs Mennonite Church, McVeytown.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 at the Living Springs Mennonite Church, 500 Ridge Rd., McVeytown, PA 17051, with the home ministry officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 at the church.

Nolt, Carol Christine Miller

Carol Christine Nolt, age 83, of Orrville, died Friday, September 28, 2018, at Autumnwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rittman, following a long period of declining health.
Carol was born on July 28, 1935, in Smithville, to the late Daniel and Icie (Yoder) Miller. She graduated from Smithville High School and attended Bluffton College.
She worked as a human resource director for Orrville Products many years.
Carol was a former member of Marshallville United Methodist Church where she was a choir director, the Orrville Moose Lodge, and the Orrville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and was a lifetime member of the Ohio Women's Bowling Association, traveling the entire state as a member of the Board. She was also a member of the Wooster Bowling Hall of Fame. She loved playing BINGO and cards. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and also loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Kris Jones of Wana, WV; son, Terry (Heather) Nolt of Coppers Cove, TX; four grandchildren, Angie (Dr. Lawrence Boyd) Sampson of Morgantown, WV, David (Donn-Yelle Fenton) Sampson of Masontown, PA, Christian (Emily) Meeks of Columbus, and Jerrica Nolt of Coppers Cove, TX; seven great grandchildren, Harleigh Rebold, Carleigh Rebold, Ava Sampson, Bentley Sampson, Colton Sampson, Jazz-Lynn Sampson, and Eli Meeks; and a brother, Gerald (Lila) Miller of Sagamore Hills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Daniel Sampson; and brothers, Richard, Danny and Clifford Miller.
Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, with Pastor Mike Sollars officiating.

Nolt, Donald E., 80, of Manheim, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at home. Born in Penn Township, on October 2, 1938 he was the son of the late Martin R. and Mildred B. Keller Nolt. He was the husband of the late Marian Snavely Nolt who died in March of 2017. Donald was a member of the White Oak Mennonite Church, Manheim; where he served as minister, and later bishop for the White Oak District.
Surviving are five children: Caroline wife of Andrew Rudolph of Bluford, IL., Ronald husband of Denise Nolt of Fortuna, MO., Joyce at home, Kevin husband of Doris Kauffman Nolt of Manheim, Philip husband of Darlene Weaver Nolt of Manheim, 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Lois wife of Jim Kime of Manheim, Nancy Ressler of Leola, a brother, Dale husband of Sandy B. Nolt of Manheim, and a sister-in-law, Linda M. Nolt of Manheim. Preceding him in death are two grandsons: Linford and LaRay Nolt, a brother, James Nolt, and a brother-in-law, Sylvan Ressler.
The family expresses sincere appreciation to Hospice and Community Care for the compassionate service that was provided by them to Donald and the family during his illness.

Nolt, Ella S. Shirk, 88, of Ephrata, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Fairmount Homes.
Born in Bowmansville, she was a daughter of the late Wayne and Lizzie (Burkhart) Shirk. Her husband, Elmer N. Nolt, died Sept. 15, 2015.
Ella graduated from the Preston School of Nursing in Philadelphia and worked for many years at the Ephrata Hospital.
She was a member of Pine Grove Church and enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing and gardening.

Nolt, Eva W. Shirk, 90, of Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Rd., Lititz, PA 17543 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 28, 2018.
She was the wife of the late Henry M. Nolt who passed away in April 2005. She was born in the Ephrata area, daughter of the late Joseph M. and Emma Weber Shirk.
She was a homemaker and also volunteered at Lancaster General Hospital and Landis Homes. She was a member of Millwood Mennonite Church. She also enjoyed sending cards and letters to others and she and her husband enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by one daughter, Delores, married to Elvin Weaver, two sons, Dennis married to Linda Seibel Nolt and Derrill married to Elaine Hoover Nolt and a son-in-law and daughter-in-law, John and Mary Stoltzfus. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Frank W. Shirk. She was preceded in death by a son, Dean L. Nolt, a grandson David L. Nolt and 7 sisters and 6 brothers.

Nolt, Lydia W. Hurst, 84, of East Woodcorner Road, Lititz, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at home after a short illness.
She was the loving wife of Paul Z. Nolt to whom she was married for 64 years. She was born March 21, 1933 in East Earl Township to the late Isaac Z. and Lizzie (Weaver) Hurst.
She was a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church of the Weaverland Conference.

Nolt, Marian A. Weaver, 100, of 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland died Monday, May 7, 2018 at Garden Spot Village. Her husband, Lloyd S. Nolt preceded her in death in 1984.
Born in Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Noah and Mabel (Martin) Weaver.
Marian was a homemaker who spent much time helping those less fortunate through her involvement with Meals on Wheels, the Re-Uzit Shop of New Holland, the New Holland Early Learning Center, and the Garden Spot Village and New Holland Mennonite Sewing Circles. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting and ceramics.
She was a member of New Holland Mennonite Church.
Surviving are three sons: Richard married to Patsy (Schlouch) Nolt, Rehoboth Beach, DE; Barry married to Barbara (Yoder) Nolt, New Holland; James Nolt, Lititz; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Earl Weaver, Lester Weaver, and Edna Bowman.

Marla was born to this life on July 11, 2017, the daughter of Raymond and Mary Anna (Hoover) Nolt who survive. Nolt, Martin Z., 90, of Peach Bottom, passed away peacefully at his home on August 2, 2018. Martin was born on June 11, 1928 to the late Amos and Ada (Zimmerman) Nolt, formerly of Talmage, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva (Weaver) Nolt on June 23, 2014. Martin and Eva were married on October 20, 1951. He was also preceded in death by his son, Glen and two grandsons on May 23, 2012, an infant son, Jay, and a sister, Mabel Nolt.
Martin was a farmer and a member of Bethel Mennonite Church. Martin and Eva enjoyed many years of service in Numidia Mennonite Bible School as cooks for the students and staff and many visitors.
Martin is survived by 3 sons: Nelson, husband of Ruth Ann (Allgyer) Nolt of Womelsdorf; Myron, husband of Sally (Hostetter) Nolt of Peach Bottom; Nevin, husband of Wanda (Zimmerman) Nolt of Peach Bottom; 2 daughters: Linda, wife of Clair Lapp of Peach Bottom; Eva Jane, wife of Nelson Neuenschwander of Lititz; a daughter-in-law, Debbie (Martin), wife of the late Glen Nolt of Peach Bottom; 38 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren. GOSHEN - Gwen Nunemaker, 63, Goshen, died 2:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born May 16, 1954, in Bremen to Richard D. “Kossie” & Bessie June (Wilson) Wenger.
She married Bob Nunemaker on Oct. 6, 1973.
Surviving are her husband, Bob, Goshen, daughters, Stacy (Milt) Glick, Wakarusa, Brooke (Mike Dabbert) Martin, Wakarusa, Tina (Josh) Cooper, Goshen, Amber Landis, Goshen, son, Robert Nunemaker Jr., Goshen, mother, Bessie Wenger, Wakarusa, brother, Daniel Wenger, Wakarusa and 13 grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is her father, daughter, Christy Nunemaker, grandchild, Christian Comadoll and sister, Linda Lou Wagoner.
Gwen was a homemaker and worked for 15 years at Oaklawn in the kitchen. She was a member of the Holdeman Mennonite Church, where she was a Bible Memory leader. Gwen was a Mini 4-H Leader for over 30 years and volunteered at the Depot. She loved cooking and putting puzzles together.

Oberholtzer, Cathryn K., 81, of Cocalico Christian Home in Denver, formerly of Lebanon County, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Fairmount Homes Inc.
She was born in Upper Leacock Twp., to the late Aaron L. and Katie S. (Kreider) Oberholtzer.
She was a member of Springville Mennonite Church, Ephrata.
In earlier years, Cathryn worked in the bakery for Dutch-Way and the laundry department for Ephrata Community Hospital. She most recently was a private in-home caregiver.
Cathryn is survived by a sister, Mary, married to Ivan Nolt; a brother, Nathan, married to Miriam (Nolt) Oberholtzer of Denver; 3 sisters-in-law, Katie, married to Phares Newswanger of Newmanstown, Anna Mary, widow of the late Adin Oberholtzer of Ephrata, Edna Mae, widow of the late Mahlon Oberholtzer of Ronks and 44 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 additional brothers, Norman, Irwin, Aaron, Paul and John Jacob Oberholtzer; 3 sisters, Martha, Elsie and Edna Oberholtzer and 4 nephews.

Oberholtzer, Lena W., age 77, formerly of Leola, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Sunny Crest Home, Morgantown. Born on Oct. 8, 1940 in Upper Leacock Twp., she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Anna H. (Weaver) Oberholtzer.
She was employed at the Ephrata Community Hospital for a number of years before retiring to care for her aged mother. She was a member of the Groffdale Conference Mennonite Church at Groffdale.
Surviving are five brothers and one sister: Ivan W. Oberholtzer (Martha) of Millmont, PA, Anna W. wife of John Aaron Zimmerman of Shiloh, OH, John W. Oberholtzer (the late Lena) of Lobelville, TN, Joseph W. Oberholtzer (the late Martha) of Leola, Harry W. Oberholtzer (Edna) of Lewistown, PA, David W. Oberholtzer (Emma) of Elma, IA; and 112 nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lena was preceded in death by the following siblings: Esther W. Ringler (Amos), Jacob W. Oberholtzer (Mabel), Elizabeth W. Shirk (Paul), Martha W. Newswanger (Paul), and an infant sister.

LAGRANGE - Polly Anna Otto, 79, of LaGrange, died Monday, June 4, 2018, at her residence.
She was born July 29, 1938, to Enos and Maud (Slabach) Eash.
She married Jerry M. Otto; he preceded her in death.
Surviving are daughters Waneta Miller, Ruth Yutzy, Mary Etta Yoder, Sarah Miller, Rebecca Borkholder, Lorene Troyer, Maudene Lehman and Sue Slabach; sons Fred, Jerry Jr., Danny, Josey and Marion Otto; 96 grandchildren; 140 great-grandchildren; sisters Rose Ellen Zook and Sarah Jean Chupp; and a brother, Wilbur Eash of Cumberland.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother.
Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at the family residence, 3125 S. 400E, LaGrange.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, LaGrange.

Pancorbo, Humberto Perez, 85, of Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died December 9, 2018 at the same place. He was born September 16, 1933 at San Jose, Costa Rica to Herman and Eudocia Perez. He was married to Elizabeth Solano, who survives.
Surviving are children, Marianela (Carlos Wille) PÄrez, Margaret (Francisco) Ramirez, Giovanni (Joselyn) PÃrez, Diana (Joel Barcenas) PÃrez, and Ivannia (Ben) Graber; eight grandchildren, brothers Edgard Perez and Hernan Perez, and sister Daisy Dyson.
Humberto graduated from Instituto Panamericano in Panama. He received his bachelors degree from Dakota Wesleyan University, his masters degree from Boston University, and a Ph.D in Education from the University of Notre Dame. He was an avid Irish fan.
Humberto dedicated his entire life to teaching and the education of others. In his early career, he served as the principal at Colegio Metodista in Costa Rica, as well as Instituto Panamericano in Panama. Later, he rose to the position of Dean of Education at the University of Costa Rica. In 1998, he returned to the United States, accompanied by his family, to teach at Goshen College and Ohio University.
Humberto was a committed proponent of social causes and served as Vice President of the Costa Rican Commission on Human Rights. Additionally, he was a member of the National Board of Education of Costa Rica; his passion for education and knowledge was evident in the books and many essays he wrote during his lifetime.
Humberto was a dedicated patron of the arts, valuing all forms of creative expression, and his entire life he sought to broaden his understanding and appreciation of music, painting, and literature. He would always hum or tap his foot to the music. At the end of his days, he continued to play piano with joy, remembering his favorite tunes even when all else was gone. In every room he ever lived, the walls were covered with poems, photos, and paintings. Humberto always had a book or song he was determined to share with his children, his grandchildren, or anyone lucky enough to walk through the door. He lived art passionately, shared of himself liberally, and educated everyone he met.
Humberto's joyful spirit was shown by his great sense of humor and many friendships he developed during his lifetime. We were lucky to have him. Humberto is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
Memorial services were held December 15, 2018 at College Mennonite Church, Goshen with burial in College Mennonite Church Memorial Garden.

Joshua Jacob Peachey, 85, of Belleville, fell asleep in the Lord at 10:02 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at his residence.
Born Oct. 31, 1932, in Reedsville, he was a son of the late Samuel H. and Julia A. (Yoder) Peachey. On July 3, 1982, he married, Suvilla G. (Fisher) Peachey, who resides at their home.
Also surviving is a daughter, Cynthia Jo Zook and husband, Abner, of Belleville; three grandchildren, Rebecca Spicher and husband, Joseph, Andrew Zook and wife, Alicia, and Rachel Zook; and five great-grandchildren.
His funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church in Belleville. The viewing will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Locust Grove Mennonite Church. There will be no viewing Friday.

Pellman, Anna Mae Brenneman, 87, of Harrisonburg, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community. She was born in Denbigh, Va., on Dec. 10, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Alfred W. and Verda (Hershberger) Brenneman. On Dec. 22, 1951, she married Charles W. Pellman, who survives.
Anna Mae graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School (the former EMS) in 1947. Prior to raising her family, she studied at Rockingham Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and later worked for Dr. James Brunk and other doctors.
She had a lifelong appreciation for color as exhibited in her many paintings, flower arranging and other forms of art. She successfully completed many art courses at James Madison University (the former Madison College).
Mrs. Pellman was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, and cared for her aging parents and other family members. She, in turn, received so much loving nursing care at VMRC, especially the caregivers at Showalter House during the last years of her life. Anna Mae’s family wishes to thank the caregivers, family, friends and volunteers who gave love and support.
In addition to her husband, Anna Mae is survived by her daughters, Rosa (Rick) Workman, Beth Pellman, and Ann (Rick) King; grandchildren, Chad Workman, Ryan Workman, Julia Fitch, Jonathan King, Christopher King and Benjamin King; and a great-grandson, Ricky Workman. She is also survived by her brother, Alfred (Delma) Brenneman. Her extended family includes Charles’ siblings and spouses, Hubert and Mildred Pellman (deceased), Richard (deceased) and Betty Pellman, William and Ruth (deceased) Pellman, Ellen and Dwight Hartman (deceased), Freda (deceased) and Calvin Redekop, Ferne Pellman, and Miriam and Wilbur (deceased) Maust.
Burial will be held Monday, May 14, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Lindale Mennonite Cemetery for family and friends who would like to attend.

Peruchini, Elaine Lillian Meeker, 80, of Waynesboro, VA died November 15, 2018 at Fishersville, VA. She was born August 15, 1938 in New York City to William Meeker and Hilda Lyons. She was married to Chet Peruchini, who was born April 1, 1934 and survives.
Surviving are children, Lisa & Don Brady; and Sheree Peruchini; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and siblings, Joan Sisler, Dianne Cantrell-Hodel, Billy Meeker, and Stafford Meeker.
A sister, Darlene Baird preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held November 21, 2018 at Springdale Mennonite Church, Waynesboro, VA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Petersheim, S. (Susan) Lavern Stoltzfus, age 86, of Lewisville, NC, formerly of Morgantown, PA, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was under the care of Hospice & Palliative Care of Winston-Salem, NC. She was born May 7, 1931, daughter of the late Ammon and Lillie Smoker Stoltzfus. She was married to John M. Petersheim of Morgantown, PA who preceded her in death on June 12, 2013. She was a longtime member of Conestoga Mennonite Church, Morgantown, PA and served her Lord faithfully in many capacities there – teaching Sunday School, leading the singing at Vacation Bible School, active in Sewing Circle as well as working with the youth for a time. She was also secretary for the plumbing and heating business which her husband owned. Being involved in the Fresh Air program and hosting international students for many years gave her joy.
She is survived by 3 children, Waneta married to Greg Freeman, Lewisville, NC, Jerald M. married to Freda (Mast) Petersheim, and Andrew married to Lois (Brubaker) Petersheim both of Morgantown, PA, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 siblings, a brother, William (Bill) Stoltzfus of Ephrata, PA and a sister, Violet wife of Alpha Yoder of Christiana, PA. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Harold, Mark and Dan Stoltzfus and 6 sisters, Rosella Stoltzfus Summers Slaymaker, Vera Kurtz, Erma Lapp, Elizabeth Stoltzfus Stoltzfus, Mabel Stoltzfus and Vilma Lapp.
Funeral service will take place from the Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main Street, Morgantown, PA on Saturday, April 14 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Amos Stoltzfus officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday evening, April 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Aldus H. Petre, 82, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Waynesboro Hospital.
Born March 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Russel and Emma Petre.
He was a member of Stouffers Mennonite Church of Greensburg, MD.
He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 58 years, Rhoda Risser (Diller) Petre, two brothers, one sister and two grandsons.
He is survived by his second wife of 2 years and 5 months, Eunice, six sons, Samuel, Seth, Jason, Jesse, James and Asa, three daughters, Sarah, Julia and Adah, forty-eight grandchildren, sixty-two great grandchildren, seven sisters and three brothers.
Services will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10:00am at Stouffers Mennonite Church with Stouffers Ministry officiating. Burial will be in Stouffers Mennonite Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 1-3pm and 6-8pm at the church and Friday, December 14, 2018 from 9-10am before the service.

GOSHEN - Lena B. (Smeltzer Byler) Pettiford, 91, of Goshen, died peacefully in her sleep Friday morning, Dec. 7, 2018, in her home at Greencroft.
She was born April 22, 1927, in Wakarusa, to John Olen and Martha (Yoder) Smeltzer.
On June 13, 1964, Lena married Levi U. Byler. He died Nov. 25, 1974, in Canton, Ohio.
On June 4, 1977, she married Chester (Chet) E. Pettiford. He died May 16, 1993, in Louisville, Ohio.
Lena was baptized at Holdeman Mennonite Church, then a member of Stoner Heights Mennonite Church, and finally at Waterford Mennonite Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Lorene (Kevin) Miller of Goshen; son Lorin (Sher) Byler of Canton; and grandchildren Ethan Miller and Sophie Miller of Goshen.
Preceding Lena in death were her parents and siblings, Elma Truen, Curtis, Anna Mary Miller, Elizabeth Stahly, Edna Green, Lowell, Treva Kauffman and Dorthy Stafford.
Lena donated her body to Indiana University School of Medicine.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m., both in the Gathering Place at Greencroft in Goshen.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be given to Mennonite Health Fellowship, P.O. Box 918, Goshen, IN 46527, for the Mary Jean Yoder Endowment Fund, which is used for Christians in developing countries pursuing medical study.
